About Scandlines:

Scandlines stands as a symbol of a historical and close cooperation between Denmark, Germany and Sweden since 1872. Under the names Scandlines and Scandlines Helsingør-Helsingborg, three short ferry routes are marketed with high capacity and frequency and with a green vision for the future. The core business is to provide an efficient and reliable transport service for both passengers and freight customers. The main focus for all activities in Scandlines is to create value for their customers on board the ferries as well as in their shops.
With more than 90,000 departures on 12 ferries, in 2016 Scandlines transported 15 million passengers, 3.2 million cars, 1 million freight units and 64,000 busses on the routes Puttgarden-Rødby, Rostock-Gedser and Helsingør-Helsingborg.

About E-Dea Solutions:

E-Dea is a leading IT provider of cutting edge solutions for Ferry Companies, Ports and Terminals. E-Dea provides Scandlines with their flagship product, eBooking©, as part of the centralized and integrated passenger Reservation System.
The implementation project managed by E-Dea was oriented to the delivery of a fully integrated reservation system to support Scandlines core processes including scheduling, products configuration, pricelist configuration, special offers, packages and much more. Thanks to its straightforward design, the system allows Scandlines to properly manage special offers and flexible prices to maximize seasonable revenue.
The main challenge was to implement a system with an aggressive time to market constraint and with requirement to integrate numerous third-party systems, including a different reservation system used by HH Ferries on the route Helsingør -Helsingborg.
The system is designed to enable Scandlines to provide targeted marketing and value-added services, establish a strong revenue management approach and enable future implementation of demand management through increased advanced purchase incentives and price flexibility.
The advanced pricing tool provided by eBooking® enable a stronger business agility in the creation of sale offers, while accounting engine enables the shortening of the revenue cycle process.
