With over 9 Million passengers and 1.5 Million vehicles, it is considered the main maritime access from Europe to UK.
The Port Boulogne Calais is also a multimodal port and currently the only one in Europe to have a rail motorway terminal, offering an integrated Ro-ro-rail service.
“Calais Port 2015” is the 1st maritime project under the European Union priority infrastructure plan. With this ongoing project costing over 650 million euros, the port will double its current capacity within 2021.

The E-Dea solution deployed at the Port of Calais represents a modern example of ISPS Port Community System specifically designed for transshipment of unaccompanied trailers. Based on a module of eBoarding©, it is integrated with the ferry companies and also with the Rail System (VIIA) allowing customers to speed up the entire loading/unloading process, in this way increasing the Port competiveness.
